1.4 billion travellers will fly in and out of Europe this year on business or for leisure. Around 8 million of them will be affected by flights delays and cancellations, of whom 2.1 million will be entitled to compensation at a cost to airlines of €1 billion.
In this paper we will clarify the rights of the passenger to compensation and how to claim.
We will explain why corporates should encourage their business travellers to claim and how everyone – traveller, corporate and TMCs – can benefit as a result.
